Remove Roller Blinds

How to Remove Roller Blinds?

Roller blinds are a popular choice for Sunshine Coast homes thanks to their durability and ease of use. But whether you’re renovating, moving house, or just giving your windows a good clean, there will come a time when you need to take them down. This guide will walk you through removing your Home point roller blinds safely and easily.

Step 1: First, remove the Roller Blinds out of the Bracket.

The first step is to detach the roller blind itself from the bracket. Depending on the Home point model you have, there might be a button or clasp you need to press or pull to release the blind. Be gentle when removing it to avoid damaging the roller blind or bracket.

Step 2: Detach the End of the Roller Blinds

Once the blind is free of the bracket, you’ll need to detach the bottom rail from the window frame. This is usually done by carefully pulling the bottom rail straight down and away from the window until it clicks out. Hold onto the blind as you do this to prevent it from falling and causing damage.

Step 3: Remove the Bracket from the Wall

With the blind detached, you can now remove the bracket from the wall. If it’s screwed on, use a screwdriver or drill to remove the screws. If it’s attached with adhesive strips, carefully peel them off the wall.

Step 4: Patch Any Holes

Once the bracket is gone, you might find there are small holes left in the wall. Use some spackle or putty to fill these in and leave them to dry completely. Once dry, give the area a light sand with sandpaper to create a smooth finish.

Step 5: Store Your Roller Blinds

Finally, store your roller blinds somewhere safe and dry until you’re ready to rehang them. Remember to keep all the screws, brackets, and any other hardware together in a labelled container so you can easily find them again when you need them.
